The Northeast Ohio Automobile Dealers’
Association (NEOADA) and Energen Inc have partnered to offer members an
opportunity to lower utility costs, both natural gas and electricity.
Annual Savings from Energen’s
services can range from 3% to 10% in
reduced utility expenses. And
Energen offers their services on a no-risk
Shared Savings Program whereby they share only in documented savings they
obtain on your behalf.
The Energy Cost Reduction Program will recover money spent in error
with service providers, reduce future costs through rate/tariff
corrections, and procure cost-saving supply contracts. Services include:
§
Utility Audit Review will
audit historical billings for accuracy and rate verification and apply for
pertinent refunds and credits on your behalf.
§ Utility
Rate Analysis and Tariff Verification will ensure that all of your
facilities and utility accounts are being billed correctly and at the least
expensive rate. The utility
suppliers are under no obligation to bill you at the lowest or best rate. They offer a large variety of services
and tariff options, but it is the responsibility
of the consumer to determine and apply for the most favorable rate.
§ Energy
Procurement Program will review all existing and pending savings
opportunities that have emerged in today’s “deregulated” utility marketplace,
i.e., Customer Choice Programs.
Service includes contract review and enrollment services – Savings from this service are excluded from
Shared Savings.
Fees:
Energen Inc. works on a
contingency-based Shared Savings approach whereby they provide their
comprehensive services for a 50% share of documented refunds from Bill Auditing, and a 50% share of
future savings from Rate Corrections
for a 12 month period. Any savings
achieved from Deregulated Procurement
Contracts are excluded from Shared Savings.
In order to begin:
· You will
need to provide one recent copy of each gas and electric bill
· You will
need to provide a Letter of Authorization on your letterhead which will permit
Energen to obtain your billing histories and communicate with each utility
supplier on your behalf (sample
letter will be provided)
· The
Report of Findings and Recommendations will be delivered in 6 to 8 weeks. And upon your review and authorization
Energen will request the corrective action directly to the utility suppliers.
