History of the Association

The Northeast Ohio Auto Dealers' Association is a not-for-profit corporation established for the purpose of advancing and protecting the interests of automobile dealers, the buying public, and the automotive trade in Northeast Ohio. 

Originally incorporated as the Akron Automobile DealersAssociation, Inc., a "corporation for profit", on December 14, 1927, the organization was later re-incorporated as the Akron Automobile Dealers' Association, Inc.,  a non-profit corporation, on November 19, 1945. 

Today, the association has over 100 members, associate members, or affiliates and offers more than 20 programs and services to automotive retailers.

On October 5, 2009, the association officially changed its name to the "Northeast Ohio Auto Dealers' Association".
